IP CCTV Systems

Our IP CCTV systems pair Hikvision or HiLook PoE cameras with a matched NVR, in kits from 2 cameras up to 32. PoE stands for Power over Ethernet, and it is the reason these systems are so straightforward to install. Each camera runs from a single Cat5e cable that carries both power and data, so there are no separate power supplies to wire in at the camera end.

On most of our kits the cameras auto detect as you connect them. Plug in one camera, wait for it to appear on screen, then move on to the next. Where a larger system needs an external PoE switch to power some of the cameras, we say so clearly on the kit page and explain exactly what is required, so there are no surprises on install day.

The main reason customers pick IP is resolution and features. IP cameras start at 4MP and run up to 4K and beyond, and the current Hikvision and HiLook ranges include AcuSense models that can tell the difference between a person, a vehicle and everything else. That means alerts when someone walks into your garden, not every time a cat or a tree branch moves.

Every system here can be viewed remotely on your phone or PC through the official Hikvision app, once connected to your network. You can check live views, play back recordings and receive push notifications from anywhere with an internet connection.

IP is also the easier format to grow. Because cameras connect over standard network cabling, adding a camera later usually means running one more Cat5e cable rather than rethinking the whole system. If you think you might expand, it is worth choosing an NVR with a few spare channels from the start, and we are happy to advise on that before you order.
