Turret cameras - sometimes called eyeball cameras - are our best-selling camera style, and for good reason. The ball-and-socket design allows the camera head to be angled after installation, making them much easier to position accurately than fixed cameras. They are compact, low-profile, and tidy looking, which is why they work well on homes as well as commercial premises.
Unlike dome cameras, turret cameras have no glass housing over the lens. This eliminates IR reflection - the foggy glare caused by infrared light bouncing off the dome glass at night - resulting in much cleaner night time footage. Our turret range includes IP PoE and HD-TVI analogue models from Hikvision and HiLook, in resolutions from 2MP Full HD up to 8MP 4K. Night vision options include standard IR, ColourVu full-colour, and Smart Hybrid Light.
Not sure which camera style suits your installation? Our CCTV buyers guide covers camera placement and style selection in detail.
Many of our turret cameras include a built-in microphone as standard, and some models offer two-way audio. If audio recording is important to you, browse our CCTV cameras with audio for the full selection. Turrets can be mounted on walls, ceilings, or junction boxes and angled in almost any direction.
For longer-range coverage of driveways and perimeters, bullet cameras are often a better fit. For wide-area coverage from a single mounting point, take a look at our PTZ cameras. Browse IP CCTV systems or HD over Coax systems for matched kits.
