About the DS-2CE72UF3T-E-G
The Hikvision DS-2CE72UF3T-E-G is the grey housing variant of the DS-2CE72UF3T-E, an 8MP 4K ColorVu fixed turret camera for Turbo HD analogue systems. Functionally identical to the white version, it is designed for installations where a dark or grey camera finish is preferred for aesthetic reasons or to better blend with dark-coloured mounting surfaces, soffits, ceilings and architectural features. The grey housing is particularly popular in commercial interiors, hospitality environments and modern architectural settings where white cameras would stand out against darker décor.
The camera delivers full-colour 24/7 imaging via a high-sensitivity 8MP CMOS sensor paired with a 40-metre white light illuminator, producing rich colour images down to 0.0005 Lux with AGC active and full colour in complete darkness at 0 Lux when the white light is engaged. The 2.8mm fixed focal lens provides a wide 110° horizontal field of view, making it well suited to open spaces, car parks and entranceways. True 130dB WDR ensures balanced exposure in high-contrast lighting environments, and 3D DNR keeps images clean and sharp even in low-light conditions.
PoC (Power over Coaxial, PoC.at) support allows both power and video to be carried over a single RG59 coaxial cable - a significant installation advantage in retrofit projects where separate power runs are impractical. Standard 12VDC is also accepted. The white light illuminator operates in Auto or Off modes, with solid light alarm activation configurable on motion. Four programmable privacy masks and four programmable motion detection areas provide flexible on-camera configuration.
The turret housing measures Ø109.98 x 98.27mm and weighs approximately 350g, with a metal main body and plastic enclosure rated to IP67 for full indoor and outdoor suitability. The operating temperature range of -40°C to 50°C ensures year-round reliability in all climates. Pan (0° to 360°), tilt (0° to 180°) and rotation (0° to 360°) adjustment allow precise aiming from any mounting position. Compatible accessories include wall mount, pole mount, corner mount, inclined ceiling mount and junction box. The black finish completes a clean, discreet installation in environments where camera visibility needs to be minimised.
