The Hikvision DS-2CE78U1T-IT3F-G is the grey housing variant of the DS-2CE78U1T-IT3F, a 4K 8MP EXIR 2.0 fixed turret camera for Turbo HD analogue systems. Functionally identical to the white version in every respect, it is specified where a dark or grey camera finish is aesthetically preferred - whether to blend with dark ceilings, soffits or architectural surfaces, or to provide a more discreet appearance in commercial, retail and hospitality environments where white cameras would stand out.
The camera delivers true 4K resolution at 3840 x 2160 via an 8.29 megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor, with EXIR 2.0 IR illumination covering up to 60 metres for clear monochrome night vision. The mechanical IR cut filter ensures accurate colour rendering in daylight and seamless automatic switching to IR mode as light levels fall. The 4-in-1 signal output - TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS all switchable from a single unit - provides broad compatibility with virtually any analogue HD DVR, making it an excellent choice for mixed-technology sites and DVR upgrade projects. The 2.8mm fixed lens provides a wide 102.2° horizontal field of view, well suited to open-area surveillance.
Smart EXIR 2.0 technology automatically modulates IR output intensity relative to subject distance, preventing close-range overexposure while maintaining effective illumination at maximum range. Digital WDR, BLC and HLC manage high-contrast lighting scenarios. 2D DNR keeps IR-mode images clean. The camera operates on 12VDC only, consuming up to 5.3W, and uses the Hikvision-C coaxial protocol for remote on-screen menu access.
The grey turret housing measures Ø109.82 x 91.03mm and weighs approximately 320g. IP67 protection and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 60°C ensure reliable year-round outdoor performance. Full 360° pan, 75° tilt and 360° rotation adjustment give maximum installation flexibility. The grey finish suits installations where camera visibility needs to be minimised or where dark-coloured mounting surfaces make a white housing visually inappropriate.
