The Hikvision DS-2CE78U1T-IT3F is an 8MP 4K fixed turret camera for Turbo HD analogue systems, delivering high-resolution imagery with EXIR 2.0 infrared illumination up to 60 metres. Using an 8.29 megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor and Hikvision's advanced EXIR 2.0 IR technology, it provides clear, detailed 4K colour images in daylight and automatically switches to sharp monochrome night vision via its mechanical IR cut filter as light levels fall - making it well suited to installations where night-time IR imaging is preferred over full-time white light illumination.
The camera outputs 3840 x 2160 resolution and supports the full range of analogue HD signal formats - TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS - all switchable from a single unit. This 4-in-1 flexibility makes it compatible with virtually any analogue HD DVR on the market, including mixed-signal recorders, and is particularly valuable in installations upgrading from older analogue equipment where the DVR signal standard may vary. TVI mode supports 8MP at 12.5fps (PAL) or 15fps (NTSC), as well as 4MP at 25/30fps and 1080p at 25/30fps, providing compatibility headroom across a wide range of Turbo HD recorder generations.
The 2.8mm fixed focal lens provides a wide 102.2° horizontal field of view, ideal for monitoring open areas, car parks, building entrances and wide indoor spaces. EXIR 2.0 smart IR technology automatically adjusts IR intensity according to the distance of subjects in the scene, preventing overexposure on close objects while maintaining illumination at the full 60-metre range. Digital WDR, BLC (Back Light Compensation) and HLC (Highlight Compensation) handle challenging lighting conditions, while 2D DNR reduces image noise in low-light IR mode. The Auto/Color/B/W day/night mode selector gives the installer control over switching behaviour.
The camera is powered by 12VDC only (no PoC support on this model), consumes up to 5.3W, and communicates via the Hikvision-C coaxial protocol for on-screen menu access and remote configuration. The compact turret housing measures Ø109.82 x 91.03mm and weighs approximately 320g, with a metal main body and plastic enclosure rated IP67 for full dust and water resistance. The operating temperature range extends from -40°C to 60°C - one of the widest in the range, making it reliable in extreme outdoor environments. Pan (0° to 360°), tilt (0° to 75°) and rotation (0° to 360°) adjustment provide flexible aiming from any mount position. Compatible accessories include wall mount, pole mount, corner mount, inclined ceiling mount and junction box.
