This DVR supports full 5-megapixel recording on all four analog channels (and 8MP recording on Channel 1). That means incredibly clear footage where important details—like faces or license plates—are easy to spot. Whether you're watching over a small shop, office, or home, the high resolution ensures nothing gets missed.
One of the standout features is Human Detection on every analog channel. Unlike standard motion detection, which can trigger from pets, trees, or passing cars, this intelligent system focuses on actual human shapes. It filters out distractions and reduces false alerts, so you're only notified when it really matters.
The DVR-204U-M1 also supports a wide range of camera formats—HD-TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS, and IP—giving you more flexibility when setting up or upgrading your system. It works well with both older analog cameras and newer high-definition models. On top of the 4 analog channels, you can also connect up to 2 IP cameras, giving you a total of 6 camera channels.
To help manage storage, the DVR uses H.265 Pro+ video compression. This allows you to save more high-quality video using less hard drive space. It's great for long-term recording, especially in busy areas with constant activity.
