About the DS-2CE78H0T-IT3E-B
The Hikvision DS-2CE78H0T-IT3E-B is the black housing variant of the DS-2CE78H0T-IT3E, a 5MP PoC fixed turret camera for Turbo HD analogue systems. Functionally identical to the white version in every respect, it is chosen where a black or dark camera finish is required - for installation against dark ceilings, grey concrete, timber or metal surfaces, or in any environment where a white camera would be visually inconsistent with the mounting surface or draw unwanted attention.
The defining installation advantage of the IT3E range is Power over Coaxial (PoC.af) support: when used with a compatible Hikvision PoC DVR, both power and video run over the same single coaxial cable. No separate power cable, no additional power supply, and no extra cable trunking. With a maximum power consumption of just 3W, it stays comfortably within PoC.af power limits even over longer cable runs. For installations where a PoC DVR is not in use, the camera also accepts a conventional 12VDC power supply - giving it full flexibility across different recorder types.
The 5MP CMOS sensor delivers 2560 x 1944 resolution with EXIR 2.0 IR illumination up to 40 metres. The mechanical ICR day/night filter ensures accurate colour in daylight and switches to clean monochrome IR imaging at low light levels. The 2.8mm fixed lens provides a wide 93° horizontal field of view. Frame rates include 5MP at 20fps, 4MP at 25/30fps and 1080p at 25/30fps in TVI mode, with AHD, CVI and CVBS also supported from a single switchable output. Digital WDR, BLC, Smart IR and STD/HIGH-SAT image mode switching complete the feature set.
The black turret housing measures 91.0mm x Ø109.8mm, weighs approximately 326g and is rated IP67. The operating temperature range extends from -40°C to 60°C. Hikvision-C coaxial protocol provides remote menu access. Pan, tilt and rotation adjustment allows flexible aiming from any mount position.
