The Hikvision DS-2CD2387G3-LI2UY-B is the black finish variant of the 8 MP Smart Hybrid Light fixed turret network camera from the Pro Series with ColorVu 3.0. Sharing the same high-specification platform as the white version, this model is ideal for installations where a darker housing is required to complement modern architecture, dark ceiling finishes, exposed structures, or commercial environments where a low-profile appearance is preferred.
This camera is built around a 1/1.8" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor paired with an F1.0 super-aperture M16 lens, delivering 4K UHD resolution at 3840 x 2160 with an exceptionally low minimum illumination of 0.0005 Lux in colour mode. This combination of large sensor size and wide lens aperture ensures that the camera collects significantly more light than cameras with smaller sensors or higher F-number lenses, making it one of the strongest performers in its class in low-light scenarios even before supplemental lighting is activated.
ColorVu 3.0 technology underpins the camera's ability to produce vivid, accurate full-colour footage around the clock. The integrated HikAI-ISP engine applies advanced noise reduction algorithms to suppress grain and motion blur in challenging conditions, while 3D LUT colour processing ensures consistent and true-to-life colour rendering. Scene-adaptive WDR at 130 dB enables the camera to intelligently balance exposure across high-contrast scenes, determining whether WDR processing is needed based on real-time brightness analysis rather than applying it uniformly.
The Smart Hybrid Light system on the DS-2CD2387G3-LI2UY-B combines 850nm infrared and white light illuminators, switchable across three modes. Standard IR mode provides covert night vision coverage. White light mode delivers constant full-colour low-light footage. Smart mode uses AcuSense intelligence to switch from IR to white light automatically when a human or vehicle is detected, creating an immediate colour-rich record of the event whilst also serving as a visible deterrent. Both illuminators cover up to 30 metres with adaptive intensity control.
AcuSense 3.0 provides deep learning-based human and vehicle classification across all detection functions, substantially reducing false alarms from non-relevant motion. AcuSearch 3.0 adds efficient image-based video retrieval, enabling operators to define a search target and immediately surface relevant recorded footage, which is particularly valuable for post-incident review. Perimeter protection covers line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, and region exiting, all with target-type filtering. Face capture is supported as an additional deep learning function.
The 2.8mm fixed focal lens delivers a wide horizontal field of view of 108.8 degrees, providing broad scene coverage from ceiling or wall-mounted positions in car parks, building perimeters, retail areas, and access control zones. The camera operates at up to 25fps at full 4K resolution on 50Hz networks, with triple streaming supported across H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264, and MJPEG. Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) is built in, reducing the impact of vibration on image quality in outdoor or industrial mounting positions.
The built-in arrayed dual-microphone (-2U) provides directional audio capture with environmental noise filtering, producing cleaner audio recordings than a standard single microphone, particularly in outdoor environments with wind or background noise. Combined with the full-colour video output, this creates a comprehensive audiovisual record that is valuable for both investigative and evidentiary purposes. Audio compression formats include G.711, G.722.1, G.726, MP2L2, PCM, MP3, and AAC-LC.
Anti-corrosion construction rated to NEMA 4X (-Y) provides durability against corrosive environments, making this camera suitable for coastal installations, food production facilities, industrial sites, and any location where standard-grade camera materials may deteriorate prematurely. The all-metal housing carries IP67 ingress protection, and the camera operates reliably between -30 degrees C and 60 degrees C.
On-board storage up to 512 GB via microSD/SDHC/SDXC is supported, with Auto Network Replenishment for recovery of locally captured footage during outages. NAS storage, ONVIF Profile S/G/T compatibility, and full support for iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect, and Hik-Central make this camera a straightforward fit into both new and existing Hikvision-based systems. Power is via PoE IEEE 802.3af Class 3 or 12 VDC.
