The Hikvision DS-2DE7A425IW-AEB-T5 is a 4 megapixel Pro Series outdoor IR network speed dome PTZ camera, delivering high-resolution pan-tilt-zoom surveillance with 25x optical zoom and up to 200 metres of IR night vision. Designed for wide-area monitoring applications in demanding outdoor environments, the camera combines DarkFighter low-light technology, deep learning perimeter protection analytics and an active deterrence system into a robust IP66, IK10-rated housing with integral heater and TVS 6000V lightning protection.
Built around a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor with a maximum aperture of F1.5, the camera achieves minimum colour illumination of 0.005 Lux and monochrome illumination of 0.001 Lux, with IR illuminators extending night vision coverage to 200 metres. The 25x optical zoom covers a focal length range of 4.8mm to 120mm, providing a wide horizontal field of view of 50.8° at full wide angle narrowing to 2.6° at maximum telephoto, enabling both broad scene monitoring and close-up target examination without repositioning the camera. A 16x digital zoom extends reach further when required.
The active deterrence system, designated by the AEB suffix, integrates a white flashing light and audible warning that can be triggered automatically by detected events, providing a visible and audible response to potential intruders in real time. This proactive deterrence capability operates in conjunction with deep learning perimeter protection analytics covering line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting, with human and vehicle target classification to suppress false alarms from environmental sources such as animals, foliage and vehicle headlights.
PTZ movement is fully continuous at 360° pan, with tilt range from -5° to 90° including auto-flip to maintain continuous tracking as subjects pass beneath the camera. Pan speed is configurable from 0.1° to 250°/s with preset speed of 300°/s, and tilt speed from 0.1° to 150°/s with 200°/s preset speed. Up to 300 presets can be stored, along with 8 patrols, 4 patterns and 5 scheduled tasks, making the camera well suited to automated patrol routes across large sites.
The camera is fitted with an integral heater for reliable operation from -30°C to 65°C. The housing is rated IP66 for weather resistance and IK10 for vandal resistance, with TVS 6000V lightning and surge protection ensuring long-term reliability in exposed installations. Power is via 24VAC or Hi-PoE (max 42W including 18W for IR and 10W for heater). Audio and alarm interfaces support integration with external systems, and the camera weighs approximately 5kg.
