About the DS-2DE4425IW-DE-T5
The Hikvision DS-2DE4425IW-DE-T5 is a 4 megapixel Pro Series outdoor IR mini network speed dome PTZ camera, combining 25x optical zoom, DarkFighter low-light technology and AcuSense deep learning analytics in a compact IP66-rated housing. Suited to wide-area monitoring applications across large open sites, car parks, roads, perimeter zones and public spaces, the camera delivers high-resolution pan-tilt-zoom surveillance in a smaller, more discreet form factor than a full-size speed dome, powered via PoE+ or 12VDC.
Built around a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor with maximum aperture of F1.6, the camera achieves minimum colour illumination of 0.005 Lux and monochrome sensitivity of 0.001 Lux, with smart IR illuminators extending night vision coverage to 100 metres. The 25x optical zoom spans 4.8mm to 120mm focal length, delivering a wide horizontal field of view of 55° at full wide-angle narrowing to 2.4° at maximum telephoto. Combined with a 16x digital zoom, the camera provides the flexibility to monitor broad scenes and examine fine detail at considerable distance from a single fixed mounting point.
DarkFighter low-light technology maintains colour imagery for longer in fading light conditions compared to conventional cameras, which is particularly valuable for capturing clothing colour, vehicle colour and other detail-critical evidence in the critical low-light periods around dusk and dawn. The 120dB wide dynamic range ensures clear imaging in high-contrast scenes such as entranceways, forecourts and areas with mixed artificial and natural lighting.
AcuSense deep learning technology focuses alarm events on human and vehicle targets, dramatically reducing false alerts triggered by animals, foliage movement or lighting changes. Perimeter protection analytics include line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting detection. Face capture supports detection of up to five faces simultaneously. PTZ movement covers 360° endless pan and -15° to 90° tilt with auto-flip, at speeds configurable up to 80°/s with 80°/s preset recall. Up to 300 presets, 8 patrols and 4 pattern scans can be programmed, enabling comprehensive automated surveillance routes across large sites.
It has a built-in heater for reliable cold-weather operation from -30°C to 65°C. Protection is to IP66, with TVS 6000V lightning, surge and voltage transient protection ensuring long-term reliability in exposed installations. Power is via PoE 802.3at or 12VDC (max 18W including up to 7W for IR). The camera weighs approximately 2kg and comes supplied with the DS-1618ZJ wall mount bracket included.
