About the DS-7732NI-M4-24P
The Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4-24P is a 32-channel M Series 8K Network Video Recorder with 24 built-in PoE ports - the highest PoE port count available in the Hikvision M Series 32-channel NVR range. It is designed for large-scale professional installations where the majority of cameras connect directly to the NVR via Power over Ethernet, eliminating the need for a separate PoE switch for most or all of the installation. With 24 of the 32 channels served directly by PoE, only 8 cameras need to be connected via an external switch, making it the most self-contained large-channel NVR in the M Series portfolio.
All 32 IP camera channels accept inputs up to 32MP resolution, with up to 8 channels simultaneously operating at 32MP or 24MP in ultra HD mode. Twenty-four independent 10/100 Mbps PoE interfaces provide plug-and-play camera connectivity with a total PoE budget of 210W (IEEE 802.3af/at) - 10W more than the 16-port variant, reflecting the additional PoE port headroom. A single Gigabit Ethernet LAN port provides external network connectivity. Incoming bandwidth is 320 Mbps and outgoing is 400 Mbps. H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 are all supported, with H.265+ delivering storage savings of up to 75% versus H.264. OTAP protocol support additionally allows solar-powered cameras to be connected on demand, with the NVR fetching streams when required and the camera transmitting according to a configured schedule.
The dual HDMI display output configuration matches the rest of the M4 range, with HDMI 1 supporting up to 8K (7680 x 4320/30Hz) in simultaneous mode with VGA, and HDMI 2 providing an independent second display at up to 4K (3840 x 2160/60Hz). Both HDMI outputs and the VGA output on the /24P offer an extended range of supported resolutions including 1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1280x720 and 1024x768, providing greater flexibility when connecting to a wider variety of monitor types. A CVBS output is also included. The M Series processor provides 2-ch at 32MP plus 2-ch at 8MP simultaneously, or 10-ch at 8MP, 20-ch at 4MP or 40-ch at 1080p, all at 30fps, with 16-channel synchronous playback.
Four SATA interfaces each support one HDD of up to 16TB, for a maximum on-board capacity of 64TB, supplemented by an eSATA port for external expansion. The alarm interface supports 16 alarm inputs and 9 alarm outputs, including a controllable 12VDC output and a fixed 12VDC 1A power output. Two RS-485 serial interfaces and one RS-232 interface enable integration with PTZ cameras and third-party systems. Front-panel dual USB 2.0 and rear-panel USB 3.0 ports complete the physical interface.
VCA analytics cover motion detection, line crossing, intrusion detection, heat map, ANPR and people counting. POS transaction overlay and triggered recording are supported for retail and hospitality environments. TLS stream encryption and double verification for playback and download protect the system against unauthorised remote access. The unit is housed in a 1.5U 19-inch rack-mount chassis measuring 445 x 400 x 75mm, weighs under 5kg without drives and operates from 100-240VAC.
