About the DS-7732NI-M4-16P
The Hikvision DS-7732NI-M4-16P is a 32-channel M Series 8K Network Video Recorder with 16 built-in PoE ports, combining the full camera capacity and processing power of the 32-channel M4 range with the plug-and-play convenience of integrated Power over Ethernet for up to half the connected cameras. It is designed for large professional installations where a portion of cameras are located close enough to the NVR to connect directly via PoE, while remaining cameras connect via an external switch - providing a practical and cost-effective hybrid cabling approach at scale.
Thirty-two IP camera channels accept inputs up to 32MP resolution, with up to 8 channels simultaneously operating at 32MP or 24MP when ultra HD mode is enabled. Sixteen independent 10/100 Mbps PoE interfaces provide direct plug-and-play connectivity for up to 16 cameras, with a total PoE budget of 200W (IEEE 802.3af/at). A single Gigabit Ethernet LAN port handles external network connectivity. Incoming bandwidth is 320 Mbps and outgoing is 400 Mbps, providing ample headroom for full 32-channel simultaneous recording and multi-client streaming. H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 compression are all supported, with H.265+ reducing storage consumption by up to 75% versus H.264.
Dual HDMI outputs deliver the same high-capability display configuration as across the M4 range. HDMI 1 supports up to 8K (7680 x 4320/30Hz) in simultaneous mode with VGA, while HDMI 2 provides an independent second display output at up to 4K (3840 x 2160/60Hz), enabling two separate monitors to be driven from a single NVR. When HDMI 1 is set to 8K, HDMI 2 is limited to 1080p. A CVBS output is also included for legacy displays. The M Series processor handles 2-ch at 32MP plus 2-ch at 8MP simultaneously, or 10-ch at 8MP, 20-ch at 4MP or 40-ch at 1080p, all at 30fps, with 16-channel synchronous playback.
Four SATA interfaces each support one HDD of up to 16TB, for a maximum on-board capacity of 64TB. An eSATA port enables external storage expansion. The alarm interface supports 16 alarm inputs and 9 alarm outputs including a controllable 12VDC output and a fixed 12VDC 1A power output. Two RS-485 half-duplex serial interfaces and one RS-232 interface enable integration with PTZ cameras, access control and third-party systems. Connectivity is completed by two front-panel USB 2.0 ports and a rear-panel USB 3.0 port.
VCA analytics support motion detection, line crossing, intrusion detection, heat map, ANPR and people counting. POS transaction overlay and triggered recording are also supported. TLS stream encryption and double verification for playback and download provide robust remote access security. The unit is housed in a 1.5U 19-inch rack-mount chassis measuring 440 x 389 x 72mm, weighs under 5kg without drives and operates from 100-240VAC, making it suitable for rack deployment in server rooms, equipment cabinets and dedicated CCTV head-end installations.
