The 16-channel NVR steps up significantly in capability: 16 PoE ports rated at up to 150W total, dual SATA bays for two hard drives (giving up to 12TB raw storage), 160Mbps incoming bandwidth, and Gigabit Ethernet on the network interface. H.265+ compression keeps the bitrate sensible even with ten cameras recording 24/7. Importantly, the six spare PoE ports allow staged growth without ever needing to revisit the recorder, add cameras as the requirement emerges.

Pushing a sensor that hard at very low light levels would normally produce noisy, smeared footage, but HikAI-ISP applies real-time AI noise reduction that keeps fine detail intact while cleaning up the grain. Combined with 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range, the cameras handle the harder mixed-lighting scenarios common to UK installs: brightly lit entrances against dark car parks, illuminated signage against unlit pavement, sunlight bouncing off pale paving into a covered loading area.
Smart Hybrid Light gives flexibility on how each camera handles night-time visibility.
