About the CORE+ 12MP 2-Camera IP CCTV Kit (Black)
This black-finish 2-camera kit combines two CORE+ IPC-2120B-HT 12 megapixel turret cameras with the HiLook Pro Series HL-NVR-104MH-K-4P 4-channel PoE NVR. It delivers exactly the same imaging performance as the white kit, but in a matte black finish that disappears against dark soffits, timber fascias, rendered walls, and modern architectural surfaces. For customers where appearance matters as much as capability, the black variant resolves the compromise between having visible cameras and having cameras that look the part.
At 12 megapixels per camera, the IPC-2120B-HT captures images at 4096 x 3072 pixels. That level of detail gives you the ability to cover a wide scene and still retain enough resolution to identify faces, read registration plates, or pick out clothing detail during playback, without needing to deploy multiple cameras at lower resolution to achieve the same coverage. Two cameras positioned thoughtfully around a domestic or small commercial property can cover the ground that a four or six camera system at 2MP or 4MP would need to achieve comparable evidence quality.
The matte black housing on the IPC-2120B-HT is particularly well suited to perimeter applications: gated driveways, rear access routes, dark brick elevations, and commercial yard entries where a white camera would stand out awkwardly. The cameras do not trade away any specification for their finish. The same 1/2.7-inch CMOS sensor, the same 120 dB wide dynamic range, the same Smart Dual Light illumination system, and the same Motion Detection 2.0 intelligence are all present in the black variant as in the white.
Smart Dual Light gives each camera the flexibility to operate in the most appropriate mode for the situation. Infrared provides invisible, unobtrusive night vision up to 30 metres when the priority is discretion. The white light activates on motion detection or by schedule when a visible deterrent or higher-quality colour night image is the priority. The Motion Detection 2.0 engine distinguishes humans and vehicles from general movement, so the camera is not triggering alerts on every cat or passing car shadow, only on events that warrant attention.
Two-way audio is integrated in both cameras. The built-in microphone records audio as part of the footage, and the 95 dB speaker enables live voice communication through the Hik-Connect app from a phone or tablet. For a residential customer this might mean speaking to a visitor at the back gate without going outside. For a business it could mean addressing an incident in a car park or at a delivery entrance without leaving the office. The NVR handles two-way audio at the recorder level as well, so the feature is available both remotely and from a locally connected screen.
The HL-NVR-104MH-K-4P supports up to 12MP recording per channel, stores footage on a single hard drive of up to 16 TB, and uses H.265+ compression to stretch storage capacity significantly further than older codecs. Intelligent search tools let you filter events by detection type, making it straightforward to locate specific incidents quickly. HDMI output delivers up to 4K resolution for local monitoring, and the Hik-Connect app connects from anywhere for remote live view, playback, and push notifications. Two PoE channels remain spare on the NVR for future expansion.
Both cameras carry IP67 weatherproofing in a metal housing, rated from -30 to 60 degrees Celsius, and each includes a microSD slot for up to 512 GB of on-board recording. PoE power via IEEE 802.3af means a single cable run per camera is all that is needed. CORE+ cameras are confirmed compatible with HiLook Pro Series NVRs and are exclusively available from JMC Secure.
