About the CORE+ 12MP 2-Camera IP CCTV Kit (White)
This 2-camera starter kit pairs two CORE+ IPC-2120W-HT 12 megapixel turret cameras with the HiLook Pro Series HL-NVR-104MH-K-4P 4-channel PoE NVR, giving you a complete, high-resolution IP surveillance system that is straightforward to install and genuinely capable from day one. The combination is designed to work seamlessly together: connect each camera to one of the NVR's four built-in PoE ports, and the recorder discovers and adds them automatically. Power and video travel over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable per camera, so there are no separate power supplies to wire in and no complex network configuration to deal with before you get your first live image on screen.
The headline capability of this kit is resolution. At 12 megapixels, each IPC-2120W-HT captures images at 4096 x 3072 pixels, a level of detail that lets you cover an entrance, driveway, car park, or yard with a single camera and still have enough pixel density to identify faces, read number plates, or pick out clothing detail in playback. For a homeowner, that might mean one camera at the front and one covering a side gate or rear garden. For a small business, it could mean a wide view across a reception area and a second covering a delivery point or till area. In either case, you are getting the kind of evidence quality that was previously only available in much more expensive systems.
Night-time performance is handled by the Smart Dual Light system built into each camera. Infrared illumination provides silent, invisible night vision up to 30 metres when you want the cameras to remain discreet, while the white light activates when motion is detected or when a visible deterrent is appropriate, flooding the scene with colour illumination rather than the flat monochrome image of infrared-only cameras. The Motion Detection 2.0 engine running in each camera classifies detections as human or vehicle, which means you get notified about things that matter rather than being woken up by a fox or a branch in the wind.
Two-way audio is built into both cameras. Each IPC-2120W-HT has a microphone for recording audio alongside video, and a speaker rated at 95 dB that lets you talk back through the camera from the Hik-Connect app on your phone. Whether you want to speak to someone at the front door, warn off an unwanted visitor, or simply listen in on what is happening at a remote location, the capability is there without needing any additional hardware. The NVR supports two-way audio as well, so the same functionality is available from a locally connected monitor.
The HL-NVR-104MH-K-4P provides 4 channels with room to expand, recording at up to 12 megapixels per channel and managing up to 16 TB of storage on a single hard drive. H.265+ compression makes that storage go significantly further than older systems, and the intelligent playback tools let you search by event type, filter by human or vehicle detection, and jump straight to the footage you need rather than scrubbing through hours of recording. HDMI output supports up to 4K resolution for local monitoring on a TV or monitor, while the Hik-Connect app provides remote live view, playback, and instant push notifications from anywhere with an internet connection.
Both cameras are housed in metal with IP67 weatherproofing, making them equally at home indoors or outdoors in typical UK conditions. The compact turret form factor keeps installation neat and unobtrusive, fitting neatly under a soffit or against a wall with minimal mounting footprint. PoE power (IEEE 802.3af) keeps cabling to a single run per camera. Each camera also has a microSD slot supporting up to 512 GB for local on-board recording as a backup to the NVR.
This kit comes with two spare PoE channels on the recorder, so adding more cameras later is as simple as running a cable and plugging in. CORE+ cameras are exclusively available from JMC Secure and are confirmed compatible with HiLook Pro Series NVRs straight out of the box.
