About the iDS-7204HQHI-M1-XT
The Hikvision iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT is a 4-channel 1080p AcuSense Turbo HD DVR, delivering the core benefits of Hikvision's deep learning AcuSense platform in a cost-effective compact recorder suitable for smaller analogue HD installations.
AcuSense brings deep learning-based Motion Detection 2.0 to all 4 analogue channels, distinguishing between human and vehicle targets to dramatically cut false alarm rates compared with conventional pixel-change motion detection. Perimeter Protection (line crossing and intrusion detection) is available on up to 2 channels in the advanced model, and Facial Recognition with face picture comparison and search is supported on 1 channel. AcuSearch smart playback accelerates footage review by filtering recorded events by target type.
The DVR supports HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP signals on all BNC inputs. HDTVI recording reaches up to 3K/5MP Lite at 12fps for cameras that support it, with 1080p encoding at 15fps. A 1080p Lite mode is also available which achieves 25/30fps at slightly reduced resolution. H.265 Pro+ compression reduces bitrate and storage requirements significantly versus H.264.
Output is via HDMI and simultaneous VGA, both at up to 1080p/60Hz. A single SATA bay accepts up to 10TB, and connectivity is via 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with Hik-Connect, ONVIF and Wi-Fi dongle support. Powered at 12VDC 1.5A, maximum 18W, dimensions 319x236x48mm, weight under 1.16kg.
The DVR will also accept IP cameras alongside the analogue inputs if needed, useful for occasional one-off additions, though for an IP-only or IP-heavy install we'd recommend a dedicated NVR for better performance and feature support.
