About the iDS-7204HTHI-M1-XT
The Hikvision iDS-7204HTHI-M1/XT is a 4-channel 4K AcuSense Turbo HD DVR representing the highest resolution tier within the 4-channel Turbo HD recorder range. It delivers 4K/8MP encoding capability at 15fps alongside the full AcuSense deep learning smart detection suite, making it the appropriate choice for installations where maximum image resolution is required at the recording stage.
HDTVI input supports 8MP (4K) at 12 and 15fps, 3K at 20fps, 5MP at 20fps, and 1080p/720p at full 25/30fps, providing complete compatibility across the Hikvision Turbo HD camera range. HDMI output supports 4K (3840x2160) at 30Hz, making it possible to review footage in full native 4K on a compatible display, alongside simultaneous VGA output.
AcuSense deep learning powers Motion Detection 2.0 on all 4 analogue channels, with support for Perimeter Protection on up to 4 channels in the advanced model and Facial Recognition with picture comparison and search on up to 2 channels. AcuSearch smart playback allows rapid event retrieval by human or vehicle target type. H.265 Pro+ compression significantly reduces storage costs versus older formats.
One SATA bay accommodates up to 12TB. Hik-Connect remote access, full network protocol support including ONVIF and ISUP, and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet are standard. 12VDC powered, 319x235x48mm, under 1.16kg.
The DVR will also accept IP cameras alongside the analogue inputs if needed, useful for occasional one-off additions, though for an IP-only or IP-heavy install we'd recommend a dedicated NVR for better performance and feature support.
