About the iDS-7208HUHI-M2-PXT

The iDS-7208HUHI-M2-PXT is a Hikvision 8 channel AcuSense DVR for HD-TVI (coax) CCTV systems, with Power over Coax (PoC).

PoC means compatible Hikvision cameras are powered down the same coax cable as the video, so you don't need a power supply at each camera. That saves time on the install, and helps where running a second cable is difficult.

It records 8MP at 8 frames per second, or 3K/5MP at 12. AcuSense filters out alerts caused by rain, leaves and animals, so you're only alerted to people and vehicles, and it can recognise faces on 4 channels.

It takes 2 hard drives of up to 12TB each (not included), has a 4K HDMI output and works with the free Hik-Connect app. It also accepts IP cameras, though for an IP only system we'd recommend an NVR.
