About the iDS-7208HUHI-M1-XT
The Hikvision iDS-7208HUHI-M1/XT is an 8-channel 8MP AcuSense Turbo HD DVR. This 4A+8/4ALM variant is factory-configured with 4 dedicated audio inputs, 8 alarm inputs and 4 alarm outputs, making it suitable for installations where external sensors, door contacts, PIR detectors or audio monitoring points need to be integrated directly into the recording system.
The full AcuSense deep learning engine supports Motion Detection 2.0 on all 8 analogue channels, Perimeter Protection on up to 8 channels in the advanced model, and Facial Recognition on up to 4 channels with face picture comparison, search and capture against up to 16 stored face picture libraries. AcuSearch smart playback allows rapid retrieval of events by human or vehicle target type across all 8 channels.
HDTVI input supports 8MP/4K at 12/15fps (within channel limits), 3K at 25/20fps, 5MP at 20fps and full 1080p/720p at 25/30fps. H.265 Pro+ compression reduces storage costs, with encoding resolutions from 8MP down to CIF.
HDMI output supports 4K (3840x2160) at 30Hz with simultaneous VGA. Total network bandwidth is 256 Mbps. One SATA bay accepts up to 12TB, and Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) is provided alongside front and rear USB 3.0 ports, RS-485 and ONVIF/ISUP/Hik-Connect support. Powered by 12VDC 2A, maximum 24W, dimensions 320x240x48mm, weight under 2kg.
The DVR will also accept IP cameras alongside the analogue inputs if needed, useful for occasional one-off additions, though for an IP-only or IP-heavy install we'd recommend a dedicated NVR for better performance and feature support.
