About the Hikvision 5MP 16-Camera ColorVu PoC CCTV Kit in Black
Sixteen black DS-2CE72KF3T-LSYE-B 3K ColorVu Smart Hybrid Light turrets on the iDS-7216HUHI-M2-PXT 16-channel AcuSense PoC recorder, the biggest system in the value tier and the discreet answer for industrial units, yards, licensed venues, and multi-building sites finished in dark steel and timber. Sixteen positions of colour night vision, recorded audio, and smart detection over standard coax, at a total that undercuts most 4MP IP systems of this scale.
Important, PoC power planning: Hikvision's 16-channel PoC recorders power a maximum of 12 AT-mode cameras. The DS-2CE72KF3T-LSYE-B is an AT camera, so on a 16-camera install the recorder powers 12 cameras over the coax and at least 4 cameras must be powered locally with 12 VDC supplies, which are not included in this kit. Single and multi-way 12 VDC power supplies are available separately. The 12 PoC-powered cameras are allocated across channels automatically rather than to fixed inputs, so design the local power provision for the 4 (or more) positions nearest to available supplies. Full AT/AF combinations are listed in the appendix of the DVR datasheet. Factor this into the quote before pricing the job.
Once the power is designed in, the running economics are strong. Twelve of the sixteen legs remain true single-cable installs, the four locally powered positions still carry video and audio down one coax each, and sixteen 3K streams sit comfortably on the twin 12 TB SATA bays with H.265 Pro+ doing the compression work, making realistic retention far cheaper to buy than the 4K equivalent. AcuSense motion detection 2.0 covers all sixteen analogue channels, up to 8-channel advanced perimeter protection guards the critical boundaries, 4-channel facial recognition and AcuSearch keep investigations fast, and up to 32 IP channels at 8MP remain for hybrid growth. Hik-Connect gives the client remote access.
All sixteen cameras share the same specification: F1.0 ColorVu optics holding colour at 0.0005 lux, Smart Hybrid Light with 40 m white light and 40 m IR configurable per camera, true 130 dB WDR for loading bays and glazed frontages, a 3K sensor at 2960 × 1665, and built-in microphones with audio over the coax. The black housings are metal-bodied, IP67 sealed, and anti-corrosion protected to NEMA 4X equivalent, staying discreet against dark cladding while shrugging off exposed, coastal, and agricultural conditions. Supplied without hard drives, add surveillance-rated HDDs sized to the retention period. Also available with white cameras, and in 4K as the black CVA range.
