About the HiLook 8MP 24-Camera IP CCTV Kit
Step everything up to 4K. This 24-camera kit pairs the HiLook HL-NVR-232MH-K-16P, a 32-channel Pro Series NVR with 16 built-in PoE ports, with 24 of HiLook's IPC-T280HA-LUF-SL 8MP Smart Hybrid Light turrets, cameras that do far more than record. Each one delivers four times the detail of 1080p, so faces, clothing, and number plates hold up under zoom at the distances that matter around a large home, school, farm, or business premises, and with eight channels still free on the recorder, there is room to add more later.
These cameras earn the word smart. Human and vehicle detection is built into every unit, so alerts are triggered by people and cars rather than cats and shadows. Smart Hybrid Light gives each camera up to 30m of invisible infrared or warm white light for full colour night footage, switching intelligently between them, and when something needs challenging, the built-in strobe and audible warning can fire automatically while you speak directly through the camera's speaker from the HiLookVision app. A microphone in every camera records audio alongside the video, and each has a microSD slot taking up to 512GB as an optional local backup.
Now the important bit about connecting 24 cameras. The NVR's 16 PoE ports make the first 16 cameras entirely plug and play, just cable each one to the recorder and it powers up and starts recording automatically. Cameras 17 to 24 need a PoE switch, which you can add to this kit as an option in 8-port or 16-port versions, the 8-port covering the remaining cameras and the 16-port adding headroom to expand towards all 32 channels later. No switch is included unless you select one at ordering. The switch's two Gigabit uplinks connect one to the NVR's LAN port and one to your router for remote access, and the cameras on the switch are then added to the NVR manually by IP address. That stage is not plug and play and needs some basic networking knowledge. We will help all we can, but if you are unsure, email us your questions before ordering.
Behind it all, the NVR records every channel with H.265+ compression to keep 4K storage sensible, holds up to 32TB across its two SATA bays, and layers its own Motion Detection 2.0 and human and vehicle recognition over the camera analytics. A true 4K HDMI output does justice to the cameras on a big monitor, VGA runs a second screen, and the free app keeps the whole site in your pocket. For premises that want detail, deterrence, and audio in one system, this is a seriously capable package.
