About the HiLook by Hikvision 10 Camera 4MP ColorVu 3.0 Dome IP PoE Kit with 16ch NVR
This 10-camera kit moves up to a 16-channel PoE NVR, pairing ten HiLook IPC-D149HAA-LU 4MP ColorVu 3.0 vandal domes with six spare channels for expansion. It is built for larger commercial premises, multi-zone retail, or sites spread across several buildings. The cameras' 0.0005 Lux colour capability, from the F1.0 lens and ColorVu 3.0 sensor, delivers clear true-colour night footage across every channel.
Ten vandal domes cover extensive ground: full external perimeter, several entrances and exits, car parks or yards, and multiple internal areas. The IK08 impact rating protects against tampering in publicly accessible spots, IP67 handles outdoor exposure, and three-axis adjustment makes aiming each camera quick and accurate.
Smart Hybrid Light mixes IR and warm white light to 30 m to maintain colour where light allows, and Motion Detection 3.0 classifies humans and vehicles, which is especially valuable at this scale for keeping alerts manageable. Built-in microphones add audio context across all ten cameras.
The 16-channel recorder offers high incoming bandwidth and a generous PoE budget to drive ten cameras comfortably, with six channels free for future growth. H.265+ compression keeps storage efficient at scale, and the HiLookVision app delivers remote live view, playback, and alerts for the entire system.
A note on dome cameras: vandal-proof domes like these are a great choice for high-risk areas where a camera might be tampered with or struck. Do keep in mind, though, that they need more maintenance than a turret or bullet camera because of the glass dome. The dome can suffer from IR reflecting off dust or tiny scratches that are invisible to the human eye, and this can seriously affect night vision. With those "scratches" in mind, be extra cautious during installation: keep the dome clean and do not let the glass lid drop down and touch the wall while you adjust the lens. As a general rule we advise using turret cameras, unless the area is high-risk, in which case a vandal dome like this is the right tool for the job.
