About the Hikvision 4K 16-Camera ColorVu PoC CCTV Kit
The largest kit in this range: sixteen DS-2CE72UF3T-LSYE 4K ColorVu Smart Hybrid Light turrets on the iDS-7216HUHI-M2-PXT 16-channel AcuSense PoC recorder, using every analogue channel. This is a full-site system for industrial units, distribution yards, licensed venues, schools, and multi-building estates, delivering 4K resolution, night-time colour, and recorded audio on all sixteen positions over standard coax.
Important, PoC power planning: Hikvision's 16-channel PoC recorders power a maximum of 12 AT-mode cameras. The DS-2CE72UF3T-LSYE is an AT camera, so on a 16-camera install the recorder powers 12 cameras over the coax and at least 4 cameras must be powered locally with 12 VDC supplies, which are not included in this kit. Single and multi-way 12 VDC power supplies are available separately. The 12 PoC-powered cameras are allocated across channels automatically rather than to fixed inputs, so design the local power provision for the 4 (or more) positions nearest to available supplies. Full AT/AF combinations are listed in the appendix of the DVR datasheet. Factor this into the quote before pricing the job.
Power planning aside, the case for this system on a large site is strong. Twelve of the sixteen runs remain true single-cable installs, and the four locally powered positions still carry video and audio down one coax each. The recorder encodes 8MP at 8 fps, or 3K at 12 fps, with twin SATA bays at up to 12 TB each and H.265 Pro+ compression working hard, and it will need to on a sixteen-stream 4K system, so size storage carefully against the required retention. AcuSense motion detection 2.0 runs on all sixteen analogue channels, classifying people and vehicles to keep a large system's alerts meaningful, with up to 8-channel advanced perimeter protection for the critical boundaries, 4-channel facial recognition, and AcuSearch to make reviewing a site this size genuinely fast. Up to 32 IP channels at 8MP remain available on top for hybrid expansion. Hik-Connect provides remote access for the client, with 4K HDMI locally.
The cameras hold the same specification across all sixteen positions: F1.0 ColorVu optics for colour at 0.0005 lux, Smart Hybrid Light with 40 m white light and 40 m IR configurable per camera between constant, covert, and event-triggered modes, true 130 dB WDR for loading bays and glazed frontages, and a built-in microphone streaming audio over the coax. Housings are metal-bodied, IP67 sealed, and NEMA 4X anti-corrosion certified, so exposed gable ends, coastal sites, and agricultural buildings are all within spec. Supplied without hard drives, add surveillance-rated HDDs sized to the retention period. Black and grey camera versions of this kit are also available.
