About the Hikvision 4K 16-Camera ColorVu PoC CCTV Kit in Grey
The HPOC1632-8MP-CVA-G is a Hikvision 16 camera HD-TVI (HDoC) CCTV kit. It comes with a 16 channel DVR and sixteen grey turret cameras. As with all our kits, you can add cables, hard drives and a monitor as you need them.
The cameras capture 4K (8MP) video, which is four times the detail of 1080p and the highest resolution in Hikvision's coax camera range. The 2.8mm lens gives a wide 105 degree view.
These are ColorVu cameras, so your night footage is in colour rather than black and white. Each camera has a 40m white light and a 40m infrared light. You can run them on infrared only, on white light only, or let the camera switch to white light when it detects someone.
Each camera has a built in microphone and copes well with bright backgrounds such as windows and doorways. The housings are weatherproof and corrosion resistant, so they're fine outdoors and near the coast.
Power, video and sound all run down one coax cable from the DVR, so you don't need a power supply at the cameras. The 16 channel DVR can power up to 12 cameras this way, so 4 of the 16 cameras each need a 12V power supply, which isn't included in the kit.
The DVR records 4K at 8 frames per second, or 3K at 12 frames per second. AcuSense filters out alerts caused by rain, leaves and animals, so you're only alerted to people and vehicles, and it can recognise faces on 4 channels. It takes 2 hard drives of up to 12TB each (not included), and you can add up to 32 IP cameras later if you want to mix in network cameras. Important, PoC power planning: Hikvision's 16-channel PoC recorders power a maximum of 12 AT-mode cameras. The DS-2CE72UF3T-LSYE-G is an AT camera, so on a 16-camera install the recorder powers 12 cameras over the coax and at least 4 cameras must be powered locally with 12 VDC supplies, which are not included in this kit. Single and multi-way 12 VDC power supplies are available separately. The 12 PoC-powered cameras are allocated across channels automatically rather than to fixed inputs, so design the local power provision for the 4 (or more) positions nearest to available supplies. Full AT/AF combinations are listed in the appendix of the DVR datasheet. Factor this into the quote before pricing the job.
