About the Hikvision 4K 2-Camera ColorVu PoC CCTV Kit
This 2-camera kit pairs Hikvision's flagship DS-2CE72UF3T-LSYE 4K ColorVu Smart Hybrid Light turrets with the iDS-7204HTHI-M1-PXT, the 4K AcuSense PoC recorder at the top of the 4-channel Turbo HD range, and it is about the fastest 4K install you can quote. Every BNC input on the DVR delivers Power over Coax, and the LSYE cameras are PoC.at devices, so each camera needs exactly one RG59 run: video, audio, and power all travel down the same cable. No local PSUs, no fused spurs at the camera end, no second cable. On a front-and-back domestic install or a small shop front, you can realistically be off site in half the time a separately powered system would take.
The cameras are the strongest analogue units in the current Hikvision range: 3840 × 2160 resolution, F1.0 ColorVu optics rated to 0.0005 lux for colour without supplement light, true 130 dB WDR for glazed entrances and backlit doorways, and Smart Hybrid Light giving a choice of 40 m white light, 40 m IR, or IR with event-triggered white light. Each carries a built-in microphone with audio over coax, so both channels record synchronised sound as standard. Housings are IP67 with NEMA 4X anti-corrosion certification, worth remembering when quoting coastal or agricultural work.
The HTHI recorder is the reason this pairing works so well: it encodes full 8MP at 15 fps on every channel, matching the maximum 4K output of the LSYE turrets with no compromise on any input, something the standard HUHI recorders cannot do. AcuSense deep learning classifies humans and vehicles on all channels to keep false push notifications to a minimum, with up to 4-channel perimeter protection and 2-channel facial recognition on top. H.265 Pro+ keeps 4K file sizes sensible, the single SATA bay takes up to 12 TB, and Hik-Connect handles remote view, playback, and alerts, with a 4K HDMI output plus simultaneous VGA for local monitoring.
With two channels occupied, there are two spare PoC inputs for future cameras, and up to 8 IP channels at 8MP can be added over the network for hybrid jobs. This kit is supplied without a hard drive, so add a surveillance-rated HDD to suit the retention period. Also available with black or grey cameras to suit the fascia.
