At the heart of the IPC-2120W-HT is its Smart Dual Light system, combining infrared and white light illumination in a single unit. During daylight hours the camera produces rich, full-colour footage. As light levels drop, it automatically transitions to the most appropriate lighting mode; in quiet or low-risk environments the camera uses infrared illumination to preserve night vision while remaining discreet, whereas if motion is detected or the scene demands it, the white light activates to flood the area with colour illumination up to 30 metres. This intelligent switching means you are never left with a washed-out or poorly lit image regardless of the time of day, and it acts as a visible deterrent in situations where that matters.
The built-in two-way audio capability sets the IPC-2120W-HT apart from standard surveillance cameras and makes it genuinely interactive. A built-in microphone records clear audio alongside your video footage, providing valuable context that images alone cannot always supply. The integrated speaker, with a maximum sound pressure level of 95 dB at 10 cm, allows you to broadcast a live warning or pre-recorded message directly from the camera. For a homeowner this might mean speaking to a delivery driver or warning off an unwanted visitor from inside the house. For a business it could mean a staff member addressing an incident in a car park or yard remotely without needing to leave the building. Motion Detection 2.0 with human and vehicle classification means the IPC-2120W-HT is smarter than a basic motion-triggered camera. The camera supports a bitrate range of 32 Kbps to 16 Mbps, giving full flexibility to tune quality versus storage across different installation requirements.
The wide dynamic range of 120 dB ensures that scenes with a mix of bright and dark areas, such as a doorway with strong sunlight behind it, are handled well. BLC and HLC features provide further control over backlit or high-contrast situations. The minimum illumination figure of 0.005 lux in colour mode means useful colour images are captured in very low ambient light before the supplemental lighting even activates.
Built into a metal housing with an IP67 rating, the IPC-2120W-HT is fully weatherproof and suitable for outdoor use year-round. It operates across a temperature range of -30 to 60 degrees Celsius, covering the full range of UK weather conditions. Power is supplied via PoE (IEEE 802.3af), keeping cabling simple with a single Cat5e or Cat6 run, with DC 12V as an alternative if required. A built-in microSD slot accepts cards up to 512 GB, providing substantial on-board storage for standalone operation or as a backup to NVR recording.

What is CORE+?
CORE+ is a brand created by JMC Secure to fill gaps we kept spotting in the market, cameras and features that installers and end users genuinely need, but that the mainstream manufacturers either haven't released yet or have no immediate plans to.
In this case, 12 megapixel IP PoE cameras are a perfect example. As resolution standards move forward, several brands are beginning to bring 12MP solutions to market, but at the time of writing there is nothing available in the HiLook range from Hikvision to meet that demand - and realistically, that is unlikely to change in the near future.
Rather than wait, we sourced a 12MP turret camera that delivers full compatibility with HiLook and Hikvision NVRs straight out of the box, including all the smart features you would expect - human and vehicle detection, H.265+ compression, PoE power and on-board SD storage. CORE+ is not a Hikvision product, but it is fully tested to work seamlessly within a Hikvision or HiLook system, giving your customers access to the best resolution available right now without any compromise on system integration.
Please note: The IPC-2120W-HT and IPC-2120B-HT are compatible with HiLook Pro Series NVRs. They are not supported on standard HiLook NVRs.
