Six DS-2CE72KF3T-LSYE 3K ColorVu Smart Hybrid Light turrets on the 8-channel iDS-7208HUHI-M2-PXT AcuSense PoC recorder, the mid-size kit for larger homes and small commercial premises where budget matters but colour night vision, audio, and single-cable installs are all still on the spec sheet. Every camera powers over its own coax direct from the DVR, and with the 8-channel PoC platform rated for eight AT cameras, two spare PoC channels are left for the follow-up positions that larger sites always seem to generate, with no extra power provision needed.

These cameras carry a specification that until recently belonged to the premium tier: F1.0 ColorVu optics rated at 0.0005 lux for colour after dark, true 130 dB WDR for glazed entrances and forecourts, and Smart Hybrid Light with 40 m of white light and 40 m of IR per camera, so covert perimeter coverage and visible deterrent lighting can run side by side on the same system. The 3K sensor at 2960 × 1665 delivers a genuine detail advantage over the 4MP systems this kit competes with, and built-in microphones record synchronised audio over the coax on all six channels. IP67 and NEMA 4X equivalent housings handle exposed and coastal sites.

The M2 recorder brings the storage and analytics of the bigger kits: 3K encoding at 12 fps on all channels, twin SATA bays at up to 12 TB each, H.265 Pro+ compression, AcuSense human and vehicle classification on every analogue channel, up to 8-channel advanced perimeter protection, 4-channel facial recognition, and 8-channel AcuSearch for fast targeted playback. Hik-Connect covers remote viewing and alerts.

Up to 16 IP cameras at 8MP can join over the network for hybrid jobs. Supplied without hard drives, so add one or two surveillance-rated HDDs to suit retention. Also available with black cameras, with the 4K CVA range above it for maximum-resolution briefs.
