About the HiLook by Hikvision 6 Camera 4MP ColorVu 3.0 Dome IP PoE Kit with 8ch NVR
This 6-camera kit steps up to an 8-channel PoE NVR, pairing six HiLook IPC-D149HAA-LU 4MP ColorVu 3.0 vandal domes with two spare channels for future expansion. It suits larger homes, busier retail units, and small commercial sites that need more than corner coverage. As across the range, the cameras' 0.0005 Lux colour capability, enabled by the F1.0 lens and ColorVu 3.0 sensor, means clear true-colour night footage from minimal ambient light.
Six vandal domes give you the flexibility to cover multiple zones: front and rear elevations, side gates, a car park or yard, and key internal areas such as a shop floor or reception. The IK08 impact rating and IP67 weatherproofing keep every camera dependable indoors or out, and three-axis adjustment makes precise framing straightforward on each one.
Smart Hybrid Light combines IR and warm white light to 30 m for colour at night where there is light to use, with Motion Detection 3.0 classifying humans and vehicles so alerts stay relevant across a larger camera count. Built-in microphones add audio context to recorded events on every channel.
The 8-channel recorder keeps cabling simple with PoE on every port, auto-adds cameras for fast setup, and uses H.265+ to manage storage efficiently even with six streams. Two free channels leave room to grow, and the HiLookVision app provides remote live view, playback, and notifications from anywhere.
A note on dome cameras: vandal-proof domes like these are a great choice for high-risk areas where a camera might be tampered with or struck. Do keep in mind, though, that they need more maintenance than a turret or bullet camera because of the glass dome. The dome can suffer from IR reflecting off dust or tiny scratches that are invisible to the human eye, and this can seriously affect night vision. With those "scratches" in mind, be extra cautious during installation: keep the dome clean and do not let the glass lid drop down and touch the wall while you adjust the lens. As a general rule we advise using turret cameras, unless the area is high-risk, in which case a vandal dome like this is the right tool for the job.
