About the iDS-7204HUHI-M1-PXT
The Hikvision iDS-7204HUHI-M1/PXT is a 4-channel 5MP AcuSense Turbo HD DVR with built-in Power over Coaxial (PoC) support. It shares the full AcuSense feature set of the standard XT model, with the additional capability of powering compatible PoC cameras directly over the same coaxial cable used for video - simplifying cabling on new installations and reducing the need for separate power supplies at each camera position.
PoC support covers Hikvision PoC.af and PoC.at cameras, allowing the DVR to detect and power compatible cameras automatically at each BNC input. This makes the iDS-7204HUHI-M1/PXT a natural choice for installations where running separate power cables is impractical - loft spaces, external soffits, conduit runs, or retrofits into existing coaxial infrastructure.
The full AcuSense intelligence is retained: deep learning Motion Detection 2.0 across all 4 analogue channels, Perimeter Protection on up to 4 channels (advanced model), Facial Recognition on up to 2 channels with searchable face picture libraries, and AcuSearch smart playback. HDTVI encoding reaches 8MP at 8fps on channel 1 and 3K/5MP at 12fps across all channels, with H.265 Pro+ compression reducing storage requirements considerably. Up to 6 IP cameras can also be mixed in, each up to 8MP.
Output is via HDMI (up to 2K) and simultaneous VGA. A single SATA bay accepts up to 12TB, and the unit connects at 10/100 Mbps with full Hik-Connect and ONVIF support. Powered by 12VDC, dimensions 319x235x48mm, weight under 1.16kg.
