About the Hikvision 4K 8-Camera ColorVu PoC CCTV Kit
Eight DS-2CE72UF3T-LSYE 4K ColorVu Smart Hybrid Light turrets on the iDS-7208HUHI-M2-PXT AcuSense recorder, with every channel powered over its own coax. This is the full-house configuration for the 8-channel platform, suited to larger residential properties, retail units, licensed premises, and light industrial sites that need complete perimeter and entrance coverage. The 8-channel PoC device is rated for eight AT cameras, and the LSYE is a PoC.at device drawing a maximum of 6.0 W, so all eight run direct from the recorder with no external power supplies anywhere on the job. Eight single-cable runs, one 13 A socket at the recorder, done.
Where many 8-camera analogue kits quietly drop to 5MP hardware, this one holds 4K throughout, and the M2 records it properly: 8MP encoding at 8 fps is available on all eight channels simultaneously, with 3K at 12 fps where smoother motion matters more than outright resolution. Twin SATA bays take up to 12 TB each, which an 8-channel 4K system will make good use of, even with H.265 Pro+ doing the heavy lifting on file sizes. AcuSense classifies people and vehicles on every channel to keep alert noise down, with up to 8-channel advanced perimeter protection, 4-channel facial recognition, and 8-channel AcuSearch to pull a person or vehicle out of hours of footage in seconds. Hik-Connect provides remote live view, playback, and notifications, with 4K HDMI local output.
The cameras carry the specification that has made the ColorVu line the default recommendation for night-time evidence: F1.0 aperture holding colour at 0.0005 lux, 40 m of white light and 40 m of IR under Smart Hybrid Light control, and true 130 dB WDR for entrances, forecourts, and anywhere the scene mixes deep shade with bright sky or glazing. Every camera includes a microphone with audio over coax, so all eight channels record synchronised sound, increasingly requested on licensed and retail sites. Housings are IP67 and NEMA 4X certified, dependable on coastal, agricultural, and industrial installs.
The analogue side is at capacity here, but the M2 still accepts up to 16 IP cameras at 8MP over the network for outbuildings or gate positions beyond coax reach. Supplied without hard drives, add surveillance-rated HDDs to suit retention. Black and grey camera versions of this kit are also available.
